Abstract

Background. Russia has one of the highest rates of labor extensification both for workers and employees. However, the workers’ performance lags far behind compared to ones from a number of countries, the economies of which surpass the Russian economy. Experts note that to get rid of the gap it is necessary to introduce new management tools. The aim of the work is to study the possibility of using the conception of “Seven Notes” to manage productivity at industrial plants.
Materials and methods. The goal and objectives were achieved on the basis of the authors’ research of the situation at industrial enterprises of the Penza region in 2010–2015. In conditions of high uncertainty of the external environment i  is necessary to pay attention to company’s internal organization, known in the past as the direction of scientific organization of labor. The study used empirical and logical methods generally.
Results. The article specifies the conception of “Seven Notes” in reference to labor organization at enterprises and selects the main directions of its organization influencing labor productivity.
Conclusions. Labor productivity management remains urgent and significant. There are internal reserves to increase the efficiency of staff performance at the expense of labor organization improvement. The method of “Difficulties – Causes – Actions” can be quite efficient.
